“A Love Letter To Whiskey”

Aggiornamento: 20 feb 2019

"I was water, he was whiskey, and I couldn’t dilute him — not now that I knew he loved me enough to let me. I needed to be stronger, to be ice the next time I melted with him."

Dear readers welcome to my blog

This is my first post and what better place then to talk about my favorite author and my favorite book

A love Letter To Whiskey is a heart wrenching love story between B. and Jamie, where in this journey they'll try to find and stay together during their personal growing .

This book was my first reading of this author who now has become one of my favorite, where when you are in the reading slump you know that with her you can easily get out of this situation.

Reading this book initially I did not know what to expect.

I thought it was the usual plot romance: boy / girl, fall in love, find obstacles and then live happily ever after. This book instead takes turns so unpredictable that just yo do not expect. It's like watching your favorite TV series and seeing your favorite character take "stupid" but right choices at the same time. For anyone who decide to pick up this book must prepare handkerchiefs and a glass of whiskey or two because there will be so much to cry.

I leave you here under the plot of the book and enjoy the read dear readers ....

At the next review ....

It’s crazy how fast the buzz comes back after you’ve been sober for so long.

Whiskey stood there, on my doorstep, just like he had one year before. Except this time, there was no rain, no anger, no wedding invitation — it was just us.

It was just him — the old friend, the easy smile, the twisted solace wrapped in a glittering bottle.

It was just me — the alcoholic, pretending like I didn’t want to taste him, realizing too quickly that months of being clean didn’t make me crave him any less.

But we can’t start here.

No, to tell this story right, we need to go back.

Back to the beginning.

Back to the very first drop.

This is my love letter to Whiskey. I only hope he reads it.

I read romance because it’s fun to fall in love. And with romance books, I get to do it over and over. I get to be different types of lovers, I get to feel the heartbreak of love and the successes. Love is the most powerful and real emotion we feel, and I think it’s sort of magical that we can experience some of the greatest loves of all time through books.”
